AIC is now a WDA Programme Partner for the Early Childhood Care and Education Sector
Asian International College (AIC) has been appointed by Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) as a Programme Partner for the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) sector, with effect from 1 Jan 2012 until 31 Dec 2013 over a 2-year period. The funding level for AIC to provide ECCE teacher education is the same as that accorded to the ECCE Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre:
- 70%-90% WDA Course Fee Funding for ECCE WSQ Full Qualification courses (Certificate and Diploma programmes) - up from 50%
- 70%-90% WDA Course Fee Funding for ECCE WSQ Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modular units - up from 25%-45%
- Trainees who are self-sponsored and not working are now eligible for funding as well
- Students who attain their first WSQ qualification will be eligible to apply for the CET Qualification Award (CQA) of up to $1,000 cash from WDA
- 90%-95% Course Fee Support for Singaporeans aged 35 years and above earning up to $1,700 monthly, under the Workfare Training Support (WTS) scheme

To receive the higher course fee support, a low wage worker only needs to bring his/her NRIC and WTS/WIS notification letter to AIC to sign up for training.
- Employers who send their low wage workers for WSQ courses at AIC can also receive the higher course fee support shown in Table 1. In addition, they can claim a higher Absentee Payroll to cover the salaries of their low wage workers when they are away at training (Table 2).
